I Am a Princess, and so are You

My media teacher showed this video in a lecture she gave about the effect Disney Princesses could have on little girls. Really interesting findings. I probably will post about that later. I don't know why, but I just seem to always cry when I watch this video. It touches a part of my soul. Maybe it's because I know that I really am a princess...for my Father is a King...the King in heaven. "Long may I rein" in kindness, compassion, empathy, service, love, etc.

We are all princesses and princes. Don't you ever forget it. :)

This commercial seriously affected me so much! I love it! I actually wrote to disney thanking them for making this commercial and encourage them to make more!

About this blog

This fall semester at BYU I am in a Media, Family, and Human Development Class. For this class we are to write two posts a week about the media and our experience with it. My eyes have already been opened to how much media is really out there and it's only the beginning of the semester. It's amazing and somewhat overwhelming. I know I will be learning a lot! I am very excited!

Side note: As you can see from my subtitle, Media means medium. Media is used to send a message from a "Sender" and get it to a "Receiver". Did you know that your scriptures are a form of media? Heavenly Father is the sender, He uses the scriptures as the "medium" and we are the receivers! Cool, huh?!
